Why Fresh Future Farm?
As someone who is passionate about all things culinary and in love with the act of feeding others, I was so inspired to learn about Fresh Future Farm (FFF)- a Charleston non-profit that was established in 2014 on a vacant 5-acre lot in North Charleston. Fresh Future Farm grows and sells healthy, chemical-free produce and makes them available (along with basic grocery items) at affordable prices in the heart of North Charleston’s residential low-wealth community. Some really awesome produce coming out of FFF includes collard greens, bananas, blackberries, onions and cilantro, in addition to eggs and poultry from the Farm’s chickens. Everything harvested is available to the public through an online grocery store. Not only does Fresh Future Farm empower people in our own Charleston community to eat and live better, but FFF also offers educational tours for school groups and families, as well as workshops on innovative small and urban farming techniques. How cool are they?!

Crumbs4Charleston was founded by Michigan-born, Christ-loving, and Charlestonian-by-choice, Charlotte Park. Fueled by an obsession with baking and supplying friends with endless amounts of goodies, Charlotte directed her passion towards a greater good. So began Crumbs 4 Charleston.
Crumbs4Charleston is a chance for friends to stock up on sweets while serving those in need right in our own backyard. The Holy City is a dream destination to many, but also a home to harsh realities for others. This is our attempt to dive into the brokenness beyond the bubble the best way we know how- by baking for buddies.
So check back every month for a chance to purchase some dangerously delicious baked goods, with 100% of all proceeds going directly towards an awesome Charleston charity each month.
